Scoil Spreagtha Award 2025
This year again, we were proud to be recognised with the Award Scoil Spreagtha.
Recognition of how we promote the Irish Language & An Gaeilge in St Theresa’s Primary School Glebe, under the mentoring role and our good friend Antaine Ó Fearghail.
Every Wednesday the children just shine speaking their Irish phrases and conversations and today was no different when we invited Séamas Mac Eochaidh from Gael Linn to the Glebe.
The children are a credit and as a staff we are very proud of them showing effort speaking An Gaeilge. Séamas got to witness this first hand and had no hesitation in giving us our award after joining Antaine in each of his lessons.
Our folk group also performed today with Nollaig (Noel) for Séamas on their tin whistles. An inspiring piece that showed how the Irish language, phrases and music are present all round the world. We even got to hear happy birthday on the tin whistles as it was Antaine’s birthday too.
Thank you Séamas for calling and recognising the good work that Antaine, the staff and the children are doing in promoting our Irish Language.
míle buíochas
